About Tŵr-Ffoledd

The literal English translation of Tŵr-Ffoledd is "Tower of Folly". We think that's a pretty accurate description given its dramatic tall outline and the unusual and eccentric features found in the interior. It's a peaceful, but quirky, rural holiday retreat set on our 13 acre smallholding in beautiful Mid Wales close to Llangammarch Wells, Llanwrtyd Wells and Builth Wells. It's also convenient to visit the Brecon Beacons, Elan Valley and many more interesting places that Mid Wales has to offer.

We cater for a couple who are looking for an unusual place to stay in a rural and tranquil place. We're dog friendly too, so you can bring your well behaved pet with you (max. 2 dogs).

The ground floor is open plan with a living area with a woodburning stove, dining and a small kitchen area. We can't promise you a state of the art kitchen, but you will have an Air Fryer, flat bed microwave, toaster, hot plate, slow cooker and small fridge. There's also a cool box with ice packs for extra food or drink storage.

Upstairs is a double bedroom with a unique ensuite shower room. A set of french doors leads out onto a small balcony where you can admire the beautiful local countryside.
The loft area, accessed by steep steps from the bedroom, is a light filled room which is equally suited to relaxation, or as a work space.

Tŵr-Ffoledd doesn't have an enclosed garden, but there's a picnic table and barbecue for your use, behind the property in our grounds, where you can relax and enjoy the rural views, glorious sunsets and dark starry skies.
We're surrounded by open countryside, and the Epynt Way can be accessed at the top of the drive too.
However, we're in a sheep farming area so, if you have a dog, it's vital that your dog is kept under control at all times.
